Where it works

The small square format sits well behind a kitchen benchtop or cooktop, on a bathroom or ensuite wall, and around a shower recess. The gloss surface reflects light, which helps a black tile feel less heavy in compact rooms. It also pairs neatly with larger plain tiles when you want one section to stand out.

Laying and grout

Because the tiles come on sheets, you set several squares at once and keep the spacing consistent across the wall. Grout colour changes the look here: a matching black grout reads as one solid panel, while a pale grey grout picks out each 48 mm square. Wipe the gloss face clean before the grout sets.
