The Hatsu Square Mahogany Speckle is a hand-crafted porcelain mosaic from Japan, made up of 72 x 72 mm gloss squares in warm brown and red tones with a speckled glaze. It suits bathroom walls, other indoor walls and outdoor walls where you want some depth and hand-made variation.
What you're getting
Each square carries a slight colour shift from the speckled glaze, so no two tiles look identical across a wall. The gloss finish catches the light and reads richer than a flat colour. The tiles are 10 mm thick and come pre-mounted on 304 x 304 mm sheets, which keeps spacing even and speeds up laying over larger areas.
Good to know
The P2 slip rating suits wall use rather than wet floors, so keep these for vertical surfaces. Because the colour varies sheet to sheet, dry-lay a few sheets first and mix them as you go for an even spread of tone. A grout that complements the brown and red will let the speckle stand out.
